The course duration is 3 to 6 months. Ordinary Seaman course focuses on training in two main roles of shipping sector- Deck crew and engine crew. Deck and Engine programs are available as Individual courses. But this course combines them both and trains candidate Deck as well as Engine aspects!After completing the Ordinary Seaman course, one may work as Deck or Engine crew aboard ships. After 36 months of sea service, one become eligible to apply for Officer/Engineer Certificate of Competency. With further sea service, one may rise to become Captain/Chief Engineer of the Ship.
The Course Consist of two phases:-
Phase 1- Online Training.
Online training that would balance theoretical knowledge, safety consciousness and efficiency for those who wish to take up seafaring as a profession to serve as Seaman on merchant ships. The curriculum intends to make the Seaman competent all round with hands on skills in the engine & deck department and not merely comply with minimum requirements.
Phase 2 – On-the-Job Training.
In partnership with various shipping companies we provide OJT (On job Training). You will be working with other Deck and Engine crew members. After 12 months of OJT you will be inducted in the same organization with a monthly salary of $550 to $850. You can also consider doing our watchkeeping course in order to get promotion. Later after working for 36 months you can apply for Officer/Engineer COC.

10th Standard pass from government recognized board
Age limit: Minimum age 17 years on the date of commencement of course.
